Scottish weekend sailing on the Clyde

This is an ideal sailing course for either the beginner wanting start sailing and gain an RYA Start Yachting certificate or the more experienced sailor looking for time on the water. It also works well as a refresher sail, for building miles towards RYA qualifications or even the chance to tick off some extra bits of an RYA certificate.

The course will start on Friday evening and run through to Sunday afternoon, we will stay within the Clyde making a suitable plan for the crew and conditions. Without doubt we will see some awesome Scottish scenery.

Assumed knowledge and sailing experience: None necessary

Minimum age: 18

Course content: The yacht, ropework, underway, rules of the road, man overboard recovery, clothing and equipment, emergency equipment and precautions, meteorology.

Ability after course: Basic knowledge of yachting and sailing

Course starts: Friday 19:30 @ Largs, Scotland

Sailing InTuition is an RYA Sail Training Centre based on Scotland’s beautiful West coast out of Largs on the Firth of Clyde. It was founded by Daniel Smith, a YachtMaster examiner, world circumnavigator and offshore racer. We offer expert tuition, memorable sailing adventures and challenging racing. Whether you are working towards an RYA qualification like Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal skipper or YachtMaster, you just enjoy being afloat, fancy sailing to St Kilda or you simply want to learn more, we have a course for you.
