Whisky & Folklore Evening

This whisky and folklore evening is unique in Edinburgh. Visit an outstanding whisky venue where you will be served four classic single malt scotch whiskys and immerse yourself in the great cultural importance of whisky and storytelling in Scotland.

18+ only. Drink alternatives available on request. Spots are limited.

A little different from our other products, this is NOT a walking tour, but instead a whisky tasting complete with history and story telling taking place in one historic bar.

We have carefully discussed and selected 4 whiskies from what we consider the 4 main whisky making regions of Scotland. You will be able to enjoy a whisky from each of the following regions – Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and Islay.

Each whisky brings its own taste and character and we find that each of our guests comes out of the whisky tour with a favourite region.

Throughout this tour, your excellent guide will take you through whisky’s history in Scotland and demonstrate its importance.

Going hand in hand with whisky drinking in Scotland is storytelling. In fact some say that they are the 2 pillars of Scottish culture! A main focus of this tour is 4 entertaining stories that tie in with whisky in Scotland (1 for each whisky).

Stories are told in an entertaining manner and weave seamlessly between history and folklore to give this tour its entertaining edge.

The story telling aspect makes this whisky tour a cultural experience and separates us from our competitors.

We’re very proud of the excellent quality of our tours in Edinburgh. The Whisky and Tales tour is no different. Don’t take our word for it, check out our near flawless TripAdvisor reviews.
