Aberdeen's Union Street is filled with historical, architectural and local knowledge gems. Take a walk to discover how and why this city has been shaped by its relationships to granite.
In the Union Street tour, we will explore the acclaimed "Finest Street in the Empire". This walk was designed to highlight the rich architectural heritage of Aberdeen and we will take in some spectacularexamples of granite buildings as well as colourful local tales. The journey starts at the junction of Union Street and Holburn Street, where there is an imposing red granite church across the road. Marischal College, The Music Hall and Kelly's Cats are also on our way. In the end of the tour, we will get a nice view of Union Street from Mercat Cross. Let's take a walk through history!
