Highland Perthshire and Scone Palace

Highlights: Scone Palace, Dunkeld, the Sma’ Glen and Drummond Castle Gardens

Enjoy the drive through stunning Perthshire to the magnificent Scone Palace the crowning place of Scottish Kings since the 9th century.

Explore the Palace and hear about the Stone of Destiny before visiting the beautiful gardens and maze.

Explore the historic village of Dunkeld on the Banks of the River Tay. Enjoy the small craft shops and the ruins of the ancient Cathedral.

Option to take a walk through a forest of soaring Douglas Firs and enjoy the stunning colours at the falls of The Hermitage and enjoy the surprise at the old bridge!

Enjoy the feeling of remoteness as we drive through the famous Sma’ Glen (Small Glen), stopping for photos of the mountains and River Almond before arriving at the small Highland town of Crieff. This was a thriving cattle droving town in the days of Rob Roy MacGregor.

Our final stop of today is at the amazing Drummond Castle Gardens one of the finest formal gardens in Scotland. Recently made famous due to the Outlander global series, still a hidden gem where you may even have the gardens all to yourself at the end of this afternoon.
