Fun summer walking tours exploring the origins, growth & character of Peebles. Led by local guide Stewart Wilson (Tweed Valley Blogger)

Discover the story of Peebles from its ancient beginnings to the vibrant town we know today.

Join local guide Stewart for a 90 minute summer walking tour on selected Sundays that brings the town’s past to life - from its early origins in the 'Old Town', its medieval expansion, the arrival of the railway, the mills and industries that shaped the community and the many changes of the 20th and 21st centuries. The story of Peebles is fascinating and is in many ways the story of Scotland on a local scale.

This tour is perfect for both locals who want to see their town with fresh eyes, and visitors keen to understand what makes Peebles such a special place.

Expect stories, surprises and a few “I never knew that!” moments.

I offer private, tailored day tours for small groups with a focus on The Borders, however I also work throughout Scotland and am fully flexible to your requirements to ensure you have the best experience.
