All tours are unique and based on your interests and preferences.

You can book either a half day walking tour (up to 4 hours) or a full day walking tour (up to 8 hours).

You will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Old Town and the New Town and as we walk you will learn about its amazing history; get to know some of it’s great authors, thinkers and rogues!

The city also became the first UNESCO City of Literature and many people have drawn inspiration from their time in Edinburgh such as Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson, as well as it’s great thinkers and inventors like Adam Smith, David Hume and Alexander Graham Bell. Whilst in the medical profession Lord Lister and Sir James Young Simpson are giants in their field.

Within a four hour tour there is also the option to be either guided around Edinburgh Castle and the National Museum of Scotland, or undertake an audio-guided tour of Holyrood Palace (The Queen’s official residence in Scotland). Both can be achieved on a full day tour.

However the tour is flexible enough to adapt to your interests, whether that is looking for that special bottle of whisky; or a beautiful cashmere or tartan; visiting film locations for Outlander; or places where JK Rowling was inspired to write the Harry Potter books.

This is really your day and our aim is to help you to have a wonderful time exploring the city and for you to leave Edinburgh with a greater admiration than when you first arrived!

Tours can be generic and cover a whole range of topics to do with Scotland such as it's history; archaeology; culture; food and drink, or can be more specific for example: Mary Queen of Scots; Outlander; Whisky Tours; or Abbeys and Castles. Both city walking tours or driver-guided tours are available.
