Tour of the Black Isle

Tour of the Black Isle towns and villages. CROMARTY, BEAULY, ROSEMARKIE, FORTROSE

Tour to the Black Isle, a peninsula North East of Inverness. We visit the charming towns and villages of this historic area.These include Beauly, Fortrose, Rosemarkie, and Cromarty. Beauly is a charming town and we visit its 13c Priory, (monestary), made famous in the 'Outlander' series. Chanonry point at Fortrose is the place to be for the chance to see Bottlenose Dolphins. The village of Rosemarkie is further along the coast and is best known for its collection of Pictish stones in Groam House museum. CROMARTY is our final destination. It is the best preserved 18th century town in the highland with over 200 listed buildings. We Visit the 'Pirates Graveyard' and South Sutor cliff. Hugh Millers cottage.(option) Old cromarty courthouse, (option). Hugh Millers monument and the old Gaelic chapel (ruin) are all sites you can visit. Cromarty is truly a jewel in the highlands. N.B, Groam House Museum has limited opening times. Usually 1- 4pm 28th March to end of October.

Tour is for 1-3 people and cost is £150, per tour, NOT per person. This is a half day tour, typically 4 hours.
