Family Day Sail

Family Day Sailing is the perfect Scottish day out, an opportunity to get away from it all for a relaxing day with the family on the beautiful firth of Clyde. This experience can be tailored to the family group to obtain the perfect balance of exciti

Yacht InTuition can take a family group of up to 5 for an amazing day out. The day will begin with a safety brief before leaving the marina and hoisting the sails, under careful guidance from the skipper you will be steering and sailing the yacht. Our sail will take us past some of Scotland’s beautiful islands lined by sandy bays and historic light houses, we will see an array of wildlife including seals, sea birds and frequently a friendly dolphin!

With customer safety at the front of our minds we will do all we can to keep customers safe. Please read our Covid-19 return to yachting guidelines.

Lunch: Due to Covid-19 lunch will not be included and customers should bring their own bottled water and picnic lunch. The skipper will eat separately.

Equipment: We will provide lifejackets for all. You should bring plenty of warm clothing, a waterproof coat and sun protection. Please wear wellie boots or old trainers (weather dependant).

Pre-day experience: none required

Maximum family size: 5

Minimum age: 12

Day timings: 09:00 until 17:00 .

Sailing InTuition

Sailing InTuition is an RYA Sail Training Centre based on Scotland’s beautiful West coast out of Largs on the Firth of Clyde. It was founded by Daniel Smith, a YachtMaster examiner, world circumnavigator and offshore racer. We offer expert tuition, memorable sailing adventures and challenging racing. Whether you are working towards an RYA qualification like Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal skipper or YachtMaster, you just enjoy being afloat, fancy sailing to St Kilda or you simply want to learn more, we have a course for you.
