Outlander Tour

Our Outlander Tour is a “must see” for Outlander fans and one that will have your friends envious. An added bonus is that the locations are steeped in centuries of Scottish history, so you do not need to be an Outlander fan to enjoy!

During your Private Outlander Tour you will visit – 

Lallybroch (Midhope Castle) the family home of Jamie Fraser and where Jamie was assaulted by the redcoats and given 200 lashes while trying to protect his sisters honour.

Fort William (Blackness Castle) – where Jamie received his 200 lashes at the hand of Black Jack Randal and where Jamie rescued Claire from Black Jack by jumping off the castle walls.

Inverness (Falkland) – Visited by Frank & Claire and where Claire stayed at Mrs Baird’s B&B before passing through the “standing stones” for the first time. Stand at the fountain where Frank saw the ghost of Jamie looking up Claire in her room in the B&B. A must for every Outlander fan and an ideal location to have our lunch.

Castle Leoch (Doune Castle) – Home of Colum MacKenzie, Chief of Clan MacKenzie, where Jamie took Claire after her first encounter with Black Jack Randal and where she first meets Geillis Duncan up near the stables where Jamie is living. It was also used as Winterfell in “Game of Thrones” and in the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”

Cranesmuir (Culross) – where Geillis Duncan lives and where she was to be burned as a witch. It was used for many other scenes, including the Meeting of the War Council in Derby.  This beautiful medieval conservation village was extensively used in filming of numerous Outlander scenes.

After the tour of we make our way back to Glasgow or Edinburgh by early evening.
