De prachtige historische stad St. Andrews is een must-stop bestemming tijdens het verkennen van de oostkust van Schotland. De oude kathedraal en het kasteel bieden een fascinerend historisch inzicht in deze prachtige plek.

Onze tour begint in Edinburgh op de ophaallocatie en vertrekt stipt om 9.00 uur. Rijdend door de op een na grootste stad van Schotland, zal informatie over het kasteel en andere interessante bezienswaardigheden in de stad je oren vullen.

Als we de stad verlaten, steken we de Queensferry Bridge over, de nieuwste aanwinst over de rivier de Forth. Geniet van het uitzicht terwijl we deze uniek vormgegeven brug oversteken.

We maken een langere wandeling langs de kustlijn, langs bezienswaardigheden zoals Lady's Tower en Ardross Castle, genietend (kan letterlijk zijn, afhankelijk van de regen die dag) van het spectaculaire uitzicht over de Firth of Forth en richting de Noordzee.

Eenmaal terug bij het busje is er geen tijd te verliezen! We vertrekken snel en komen dichter bij onze hoofdbestemming. Daarvoor zal je gids je door enkele van de vissersdorpjes rijden die absoluut adembenemend zijn.

We zijn aangekomen in St Andrews! Hier breng je tijd door met het verkennen van de stad en geniet je van het historische erfgoed van het kasteel, de kathedraal en universiteitsgebouwen. En we kunnen u de beroemde Old Course, de bakermat van golf, niet laten vergeten.

Het is lunchtijd! Je gids zal plaatsen aanbevelen om een ​​hapje te eten voordat we aan de terugreis naar Edinburgh beginnen.

Dat betekent echter niet dat we klaar zijn met verkennen! We vertrekken vanuit St Andrews en reizen landinwaarts naar het fascinerende Loch Leven National Nature Reserve. We maken een korte wandeling naar een prachtig uitkijkpunt van Lochleven Castle, dat Mary Queen of Scots bezocht tijdens haar regering.

Nadat we de lange geschiedenis van Loch Leven hebben geleerd, reizen we nu zuidwaarts naar de NIEUWSTE stad van Schotland. Yup, je leest het goed, nieuwste stad, Dunfermline. In de abdij zijn enkele van de machtigste en invloedrijkste koningen en koninginnen van Schotland begraven.

Niemand minder dan de hoofdman zelf, koning Robert the Bruce (Robert I), die beroemd is om zijn rol tijdens de Onafhankelijkheidsoorlogen.

Wat een dag is het geweest! Boordevol informatie en geweldige landschappen! Het is nu helaas tijd om terug te gaan naar waar het allemaal begon, Edinburgh. Je gids zet vanaf vanmorgen iedereen af ​​bij de ophaallocatie en wenst iedereen welterusten!
