The Macallan Distillery

The Macallan Whisky Tour

Let us take you to one of the most spectacular distilleries in Scotland, The Macallan. Travel in luxury along some of Scotland's most famous roads enjoying spectacular scenery en route to an amazing Scottish whisky distillery experience.

Pick up in all main locations in Scotland including Glasgow and Edinburgh, we travel North to Speyside home to over 50 Whisky distilleries of all shapes and sizes. The planned route is through the Cairngorms National Park with spectacular Scottish scenery to enjoy as we cruise along roads with names such as the Old Military road, part of General Wade’s attempt to bring order to Scotland in the mid 18th century after the Jacobite uprising of 1715. The road follows the River Dee winding it’s way up the centre of the Cairngorms National Park towards Balmoral famous for the Queen’s Scottish residence, Balmoral Castle.

The Macallan distillery was re designed and built to a cost of £140 million and opened it’s doors in 2018. The result is a distillery which fits nicely into the Speyside landscape with the natural grasses growing on the roof, the smooth contours contrasting with the glass and steel construction of this award winning impressive structure.

Inside the distillery is spacious with an impressive wall of Macallan whisky to greet you as you enter, walking round the ground floor there is the Elchies Brasserie with lovely food, coffee and cake and further round the Macallan Boutique with products to buy as gifts and mementoes.

Tours of all sorts can be booked; I’d recommend The Peerless Spirit Experience to fully immerse you in your Macallan Whisky adventure.

Cost for The Macallan Whisky Tour: £1,750 (includes The Peerless Spirit Tour for 7).

Up to a maximum of 7 travellers (price may change with less travellers).

The cost includes The Peerless Spirit tour for 7-airport meet and greet if needed including airport parking costs, all fuel and driver's costs, driver’s gratuity entirely at your discretion.

The Peerless Spirit tour takes 2.5 hours with another hour or so at the Macallan for the guests to explore further and make any purchases.

The day will start early with planned comfort stops, on the way to the Macallan we pass through Glenshee one of Scotland’s ski resorts dramatic in landscape and (sometimes) weather conditions, the Victorian village of Ballater lies along the route, an archetypal Scottish Highland settlement famous for it’s spring water and friendly locals.

A 10-hour day is planned for with complimentary Highland Spring water on board for the guest’s enjoyment as well as some small snacks and fruit.

You will travel in our top of the range V class Mercedes with a choice of seating arrangements available.

We pride ourselves in the quality and training of our staff that are either ex police or Institute of Advanced Motorists certified ensuring a smooth and safe transit at all times.

  • Please note we advise booking any tour well in advance to ensure availability at your desired time. The Peerless Experience starts at 13:00 each day with a maximum of 8 people in the tour, exclusive tours can of course be arranged.
