Deze Schotse motorreis doorkruist een aantal bochtige wegen in de Hooglanden, waaronder de Noordkust 500 en het eiland Skye. Het zal een beroep doen op rijders die houden van technisch uitdagende wegen met een uitzonderlijk landschap.

Deze motortour door Schotland omarmt enkele van de beste wegen in de Schotse Hooglanden en begint en eindigt in Glasgow.

Het circuit rond de Noord-Schotse kust is lang favoriet bij fietsers en werd vroeger "to trip the tap" (around to top) genoemd. Tegenwoordig hebben de mensen het over "The North Coast 500" of "NC500" die betrekking heeft op een specifiek circuit dat begint en eindigt in Inverness.
