Tour Scotland's NC500 by Luxury Chauffeur Driven Car

North Coast (NC) 500 is a five hundred mile circular journey which starts and finishes in Inverness. The route has everything from secluded bays with white sands to breath-taking Alpine like mountain passes over 2000ft high.

America has Route 66 and the iconic State Route 1; Australia has the Great Ocean Road, and The Rainforest Way and South Africa has The Garden Route while Scotland has its own iconic named route, NC500. N(orth)C(oast) 500 is a five hundred mile circular journey which starts and finishes in the capital of the Highlands, Inverness.

Leaving Inverness and heading west towards Kyle of Lochalsh the route then follows the coastline north, covering some of the most beautiful roads in the UK, through Ullapool to Lochinver, to Cape Wrath and the rugged Caithness coast before turning south towards Helmsdale, Dunrobin Castle, the cathedral town of Dornoch, close to Skibo Castle, before finally returning to Inverness, 500 miles later.

The route has everything from secluded bays with white sands, breath-taking Alpine like mountain passes over 2000ft high, causeways across sea-lochs and of course plenty of opportunities to break your journey each night in a whole range of different accommodations. There are luxury 5 star hotels, inns or bed and breakfasts, as well as numerous pubs and restaurants all serving the freshest of Scotland’s famous fayre.

There can be no better way to experience NC500 than from the back of your chauffeur driven car. With a chauffeur to negotiate the 180 degree bends of the Bealach Na Ba (The Pass of the Cattle) at 2000 feet, you can sit back and absorb the stunning views across to Skye and the Western Isles over The Minch. The luxurious Torridon Hotel, could be your resting place for the night where a warm Highland welcome and exquisite cuisine awaits. The next night Durness, in the far north-west corner, could be your stop for night two. This is one of the most remote parts of the UK, with stunning coastal scenery at every turn.

The northern Caithness coast can be covered on day three, with the day finishing somewhere along the Sutherland coast as you head south from John O’Groats, the most northerly point on the UK mainland only 875 miles from Land’s End at the south west tip of England.
