WESTER ROSS está situado en el Noroeste de Escocia y destaca por poseer las tierras más antiguas de Europa, además tiene el estatus de RESERVA DE LA BIOSFERA otorgado por la UNESCO y ofrece uno de los paisajes más agrestes y espectaculares de Gran Bretaña, lagos encajonados entre altas lomas, playas impresionantes, carreteras sinuosas adentrándose en valles glaciares. En el trayecto atravesamos un tramo de la NORTH COAST 500 considerada por la “National Geographic” una de las carreteras más bellas del mundo. A la Reina Victoria le encantaba hacer este recorrido.

En nuestra primera parada daremos un paseo por un bosque hasta llegar a las CASCADAS ROGIE y podremos ver, si coincide con la época del desove, salmones remontando la corriente.

Iremos haciendo paradas en lugares privilegiados para admirar el paisaje con pausa y para hacer fotografías en GLEN DOCHERTY, en LOCH MAREE, en GAIRLOCH hasta llegar a los JARDINES DE INVEREWE, los más hermosos de Escocia, los cuales visitaremos. Este oasis subtropical está expuesto a las tormentas que entran desde el Atlántico al tiempo que las aguas cálidas de la corriente del Golfo ayudan a nutrir una vegetación exótica procedente tanto del hemisferio norte como del sur. Será en Inverewe donde tendremos tiempo para almorzar.

Viajando por el continente ficticio de Poniente en “Juego de Tronos” haremos un alto en el recorrido para admirar las CASCADAS DE MEASACH donde el agua da un salto de 46metros.

Y ya cerca de Inverness conoceremos el precioso pueblo balneario de STRATHPEFFER, el cual nos hará viajar en el tiempo al esplendor victoriano.
