guided multi pitch climbing

A guided multi-pitch climbing day in Aviemore & the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland offers an unforgettable climbing experience in some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world.

Guided Multi-Pitch Climbing Itinerary

A guided multi-pitch climbing day in the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland typically begins with meeting your guide at the Huntly's cave Car Park and follows with a briefing, we will go over the day’s itinerary and safety protocols. After this, participants will set off on a hike to the base of the chosen climb. Along the way, the guide will share information about the area’s history and ecology, adding depth to the overall experience.

Once at the base of the climb, participants will receive a refresher on climbing and safety techniques before beginning the ascent. Throughout the climb, the guide will provide personalized instruction and feedback, helping participants build their skills and confidence. Depending on the chosen route, participants will likely take breaks to rest and take in the breathtaking scenery.

Upon reaching the summit, participants will have the chance to take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape before beginning the descent. This may involve rappelling down the climb, allowing for a unique and thrilling experience; or it may involve walking off. After a full day of climbing, participants will return to the starting point, where they will have the chance to debrief with the guide and reflect on the day’s achievements.

We pride ourselves on providing as much kit as possible for you.  However, the list below is what we recommend you should bring to your Guided Multi Pitch Climbing Course:

  • Travel insurance. (We are insured for all our trips, but we recommend everyone has their own travel insurance as well.)
  • Transportation to the venue. (We may be able to help with this though – if you need transportation please drop us an enquiry and we can see what we can do to help.)
  • Lunch, water.
  • Personal medication
