Private Highland Whisky Tour

Discover Highland whisky on a private, expertly hosted journey combining renowned distilleries, distinctive drams and the landscapes, stories and character of the Scottish Highlands.

This is not a standard whisky tour. It is a privately guided journey through the Scottish Highlands, shaped around your interests and hosted with genuine local knowledge, whisky expertise and a deep connection to the region.

With years of industry experience and established relationships across the Highlands, each tour is designed to feel personal, unhurried and thoughtfully curated from beginning to end.

Your itinerary is shaped around the whisky, places and experiences that interest you most. Depending on availability and your preferred route, the day may include renowned Highland distilleries such as Glenmorangie, Balblair and Glen Ord, alongside smaller producers, specialist whisky retailers and distinctive local experiences.

Where appropriate, we can also incorporate dramatic viewpoints, historic sites, Highland towns and quieter scenic stops, creating natural pauses in the journey and allowing the wider character of the Highlands to become part of the experience.

Rather than trying to visit as many distilleries as possible, the emphasis is always on quality over quantity. A typical day may include several carefully selected stops, allowing enough time to properly enjoy each experience rather than rushing from one place to the next.

At suitable points throughout the day, guests may also enjoy a hosted whisky tasting selected from our personal collection, adding another personal and distinctive element to the journey.

Travel is provided in a premium SUV for up to four guests or a comfortable premium minibus for groups of up to eight guests, allowing you to explore privately and at a relaxed pace. Larger private groups may also be accommodated by prior arrangement.

Three Ways to Experience the Tour

Every Highland Whisky Tour is private, thoughtfully designed and hosted with the same care and attention to detail. Guests can choose the level of organisation and access that best suits them.

Standard Private Tour

A flexible, privately guided Highland whisky experience shaped around your interests and preferred pace.

We provide guidance on suitable distilleries, tastings and stops, while admission to individual visitor experiences is paid separately.

A hosted whisky tasting selected from our personal collection can also form part of the day, bringing another layer of flavour, story and personality to the experience.

Curated Package

For guests who would prefer the principal arrangements taken care of in advance, the Curated Package offers a more seamless experience.

Suitable distillery visits, tastings and other agreed experiences are selected and arranged ahead of the day, allowing you to simply arrive and enjoy a carefully structured journey through Highland whisky country.

Premium Whisky Experience

For collectors, connoisseurs and whisky enthusiasts seeking something genuinely exceptional, the Premium Whisky Experience is a separate, individually designed journey.

Depending on availability, it may include specialist or premium distillery experiences, privately hosted rare whisky tastings, deeper access and opportunities not normally available through standard visitor tours.

Each Premium Whisky Experience is created from the ground up around your interests, palate and the level of depth and access you value most.

The difference between the three options lies in the level of organisation, access and depth of experience. The standard of hosting, care and personal attention remains consistently high throughout.

Discover Highland Whisky Your Way

The Highlands offer extraordinary variety, from historic distilleries and elegant coastal malts to smaller producers, independent bottlers and specialist whisky destinations.

Your day can be shaped around well-known names, lesser-known producers, particular whisky styles or simply the opportunity to experience the region through a carefully balanced combination of whisky, landscape and local character.

Whether you are discovering Highland whisky for the first time or exploring it at a deeper level, every tour is created with care and a genuine passion for sharing the region.

If you have a particular distillery, whisky style or experience in mind, please get in touch. We will be happy to advise on the best way to shape your day and recommend the most suitable combination of experiences.
