Blarich Schoolhouse is the perfect setting for individuals, couples, families or groups of up to eight people who want to get away from it all in comfort and style.
The Schoolhouse has four bedrooms (two ensuite) and and additional family bathroom, a large kitchen, a play/television room and a magnificent old schoolroom - now a spacious dining and drawing room. Outside there is plenty of parking, an enclosed child-friendly garden and seasonal fruit for picking.
Blarich Schoolhouse is three miles outside the village of Rogart, midway between Dornoch and Lairg. The surrounding area is a peaceful and thriving farming community, nestled in the valley of the River Fleet. The nearby coastal towns and villages have stunning beaches as well as world-renowned golf courses, while the local landscape offers great opportunities for hillwalkers. This is cycling heaven, only 7 miles from the NC500 cycling route and the A9 John o' Groats to Land's End route. Wildlife abounds and birdwatchers will not be disappointed in all seasons. Historians, garden enthusiasts and tourists can flock to the nearby Dunrobin Castle, home to the Dukes and Earls of Sutherland; further afield the late Queen Mother's Castle of Mey on the north coast is a hidden gem with stunning views of the Orkney Islands. Whisky connoisseurs can enjoy tours of the local distilleries, and shooting, fishing and stalking are all available nearby.
Free wifi, no smoking, and up to two pets welcome.
