You will find us high on the southern ridge of the Black Isle between the coastal villages of Rosemarkie and Cromarty in a peaceful, rural setting. However, we are only a 30 minute drive from Inverness City Centre, and can offer a perfect stopover for those adventurers tackling the NC500, either at the start or the end of your tour. Firth View also provides a great base for walkers, cyclists, golfers, culture-vultures, dram-tasters, wildlife-watchers and photographers, with the beauty of the Black isle on our doorstep and Loch Ness, Culloden, the Cairngorm National Park and at least half a dozen distilleries within an hour's drive. At an altitude of 200m, overlooking the waters of both the Moray and Cromarty Firths, perhaps Firth View's best features are the amazing views from our guest rooms, with the Monadliath and Cairngorm mountains to the south and the Sutherland and Caithness Hills to the north. Surrounded by farmland and forests, wildlife abounds and the Highland skies and weather provide an everchanging backdrop. Our rural location makes Firth View a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Highland countryside. As we are located 4 miles from the nearest village and public transport, a stay here will require visitors to have their own vehicle. For guests arriving by plane or train there are several vehicle hire companies based at the airport terminal or in the city itself. We have secure undercover storage for cycles and plenty of free parking. We pride ourselves on providing a delicious, freshly-prepared breakfast from our buffet and Breakfast Menu to start your day, with locally-sourced or home-produced ingredients where possible. Our two guest bedrooms are on the first floor, with underfloor heating and wall-mounted panel heaters for additional comfort. We provide hypoallergenic duvets and pillows and extra pillows and blankets are available from the wardrobe in each room. We have installed USB sockets for phone charging and free Wi-Fi* is available. Both rooms are supplied with a selection of teas, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits and a flat screen television with DVD and Freeview. There is a selection of books and DVDs for your pleasure on the landing. As Highland nights can be very short in the height of summer we have provided black-out curtains or blinds to ensure you have a good night's sleep. Soft, fluffy towels are of course provided together with luxury toiletries. An iron and ironing board is available on request. In each room we have hung artworks by local artists or personal friends of ours together with photos of some of our favourite Highland creatures.
