This is an afternoon, in-person, creative workshop that is designed to help you think about publishing your own work while learning from the experience of others.

As well as hearing about the publishing process - including how to self start your own projects - along with learning about how to secure a possible career in the book world and associated creative industries, you will altogether - in this creative and immersive session - come to understand how you might bring together ideas and events - on and off the page.

In this two hour-plus workshop Professor Kirsty Gunn will lead a practical creative writing workshop and be in conversation with publisher Gail Low and author Rory Watson, discussing a new collection of poems that has just been published, tracing its journey from first draft to published page, and alsofinding inspiration for your own writing and publishing ambitions.
Starting with practical writing exercises and tips, involving developing editing and refining skills, alongside gaining insider publishing know-how, we will then go on to be part of a book launch and party to celebrate a beautiful brand new collection of poems just published by The Voyage Out Press here in Dundee.
