Events and activities run regularly, please book in advance on the website.
Ice Cream Making Workshops run regularly in a specially designed, socially distanced new workshop area. Suitable for adults and children (aged 5+), you’ll create your very own dream ice cream from scratch, selecting the flavours you most enjoy, or inventing new flavour combinations. Adult groups will be able to incorporate alcohol flavours. Ice Cream Making Workshops costs £25 per workstation, suitable for up to three people working together. Pre-booking strongly recommended.
The all-day Cheese Making Course runs on Thursdays. You’ll learn to make two types of cheese at socially distanced workstations; a soft cheese which can be easily replicated at home and a pressed cheese, which you will then mature at home. Cheese making involves periods of time when you pause and let nature take its course. During these times you’ll go on a quick tour of the farm and you’ll enjoy a cheese tasting experience. The cost of the workshop is £95 per workstation, or £130 for two people sharing a workstation. Pre-booking essential.
The Ethical Dairy Farm Tour is an in-depth farmer-led event designed for adults. Unlike almost every other dairy farm in the world, we have stopped taking calves away from their mothers shortly after birth. You'll have the opportunity to meet the cows and their calves and hear an explanation of their net zero farming system. You'll hear an explanation of what regenerative farming means, and discuss the environmental impacts of different farming approaches. This event costs £15 per person and pre-booking is essential.
Sister company, The Ethical Dairy, provides the savoury treats, with a range of delicious artisan cheeses, and there’s homemade soup and snacks on the menu too.
Fancy something more relaxed? There are nature trails to explore, a dog walk, regular farm tours, a café and crazy golf too.
Please note: the adventure playground at Cream o’ Galloway is now closed.
