Monaughty Forest is an extensive woodland situated 6 miles south west of Elgin in Moray.
The forest walks in Monaughty take in the magnificent Douglas Fir and Scots Pine trees and provide spectacular views out across the Moray Firth. The huge Douglas Fir trees planted in 1921, with their dark green foliage, contrast with the yellow, orange, and russet of the nearby birches, beach and oak. On the lower trails, you can see cherry blossoms in spring and rowan berries in autumn.
