Teasses is an authentic Scottish country estate situated in the heart of Fife and only 50 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh. Situated close to key travel centres and tourist destinations (e.g. Falkland, St.Andrews, Dundee) Teasses is ideally situated to welcome day-travellers as well as pre-arranged group visits. The estate covers approximately 1,100 acres of prime organic pasture, mixed woodland, mossland and extensive and beautifully restored gardens. As a one-stop experience of natural Scotland; Teasses is home to red squirrels, roe deer, birds of prey, brown hare and of course our seven-strong fold of Highland Cattle.
The gardens are open to visitors throughout the year, the key season is April to August. A Head Gardener led tour takes approximately two hours and his knowledge of the gardens, plants and history of the estate provides an insightful glimpse into the gardens and house of Teasses from the 1200’s to modern times. The Head Gardener’s Day allows visitors to spend time with the head gardener followed by a lunch in the walled garden. Events throughout the year fill Teasses’ calendar with many events including Christmas market, Summer Plays and Garden Walk events.
At Teasses our aim is to provide a high quality and friendly experience to visitors so that they feel part of the ‘Teasses Family’ this relaxed approach sets us aside from other destinations. Spend a day at Teasses, enjoy a barbecue lunch prepared from our own produce raised on the organic estate. Enjoy a morning in the garden and an afternoon of clay pigeon shooting or fly fishing with our highly experienced and knowledgable team.
The visitor experience on offer at Teasses is ideal for first time visitors to Scotland not only will guests revel in fine Scottish hospitality, something we are renowned for all over the world, but also a taste of the Scottish countryside and natural environment which Scotland is known for on a traditional country estate. Our smaller packages on offer such as Clay shooting, garden opening and events cater for international guests and the local community. Teasses has had a long standing presence in the area and with Open Days and events planned throughout the year there is opportunity to engage fully with those wishing to visit.
