Gleneagles
Chauffeur Driven Whisky and Afternoon Tea Tour of Scotland
A luxurious private day tour combining Scotland’s castles, landscapes, whisky tastings, and the option of an elegant afternoon tea at Gleneagles, all enjoyed in comfort with your personal chauffeur‑guide.
Saltire Executive Travel invites you on a relaxed and luxurious day exploring Scotland’s history, landscapes, and whisky traditions, with the option to enjoy one of the world’s finest afternoon teas along the way.
Your private chauffeur will collect you from your Edinburgh hotel or cruise ship before we travel west towards some of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks.
Our first stop is Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. Set beside a peaceful loch, this impressive royal residence offers a fascinating glimpse into Scotland’s past.
We continue to Stirling Castle, a magnificent stronghold that has played a central role in Scotland’s story. Its grand halls, sweeping views, and dramatic history make it one of the country’s most important sites.
Next, we visit The Kelpies, Scotland’s striking 30‑metre‑high steel sculptures. These remarkable structures celebrate the nation’s industrial heritage and provide a memorable photo opportunity.
Our journey then takes us to Doune Castle, a medieval fortress known for its distinctive architecture and its appearances in Outlander, Monty Python, and Game of Thrones.
The first whisky experience of the day awaits at Deanston Distillery, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour and tasting. Learn how traditional methods and local craftsmanship shape the character of this much‑loved Highland single malt.
For those seeking an extra touch of indulgence, you may choose to enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea at Gleneagles, one of the world’s most celebrated hotels. Delicate sandwiches, pastries, scones, and optional champagne create a truly elegant break in your day.
We then continue to Glenturret Distillery, Scotland’s oldest working distillery, for a second tasting that highlights the region’s rich whisky heritage.
After a day filled with history, scenery, whisky, and refined hospitality, we return to Edinburgh in comfort, leaving you with lasting memories of a beautifully curated Scottish experience.
