Great Glen Way Self-guided Walking Holiday

Immerse yourself in dramatic Highlands scenery, with a route following the Caledonian Canal and the high-level routes above Loch Ness. You'll have full support on the way, with high-standard B&Bs, luggage transfer, route guides and 24/7 assistance.

The Great Glen Way is a fantastic means of experiencing some of Scotland's most magnificent Highlands scenery without being put through your paces with a series of steep inclines.

This is a predominantly low-level route through the Great Glen natural fault, following the Caledonian Canal to Loch Ness, finishing your route in the Highlands capital of Inverness. It's a beautifully structured walk, where initial sections walking along the Caledonian Canal, amid the mountains green with pine forests open up to the sprawling Loch Ness, and the ruins of Castle Urquhart, perched atop a hill overlooking the Loch.

This would be a fantastic introduction to long-distance walking, one of those rare routes that offer dramatic scenery without having to climb steep inclines, or venture to far off the gird to find it.
