Luss

Luss History Tour

Luss History Tour is an entertaining guided walk around the historic highlights of a model village. Walk with a local experienced guide and explore the architecture of an “estate” style village, miner and weaver cottages and a medieval gothic church.

Covid-19 safe measures in place. Hand sanitiser will be provided at the beginning and end of the tour.

From Luss car park to The Pier, home of the present chief of Clan Colquhoun, the Luss HistoryTour is an easy-paced walk, around the village of Luss, an area bursting with historic buildings, geology, Christianity and much more.

Tour days Monday through Friday. Tours departs from 10 am and 11.30am.

Colquhoun Stories

Hear tales about the WW1 hero, who was nearly court marshalled, check out the oldest cottage in Luss and marvel at the Highland Boundary Fault across Loch Lomond.

Luss Pilgrimage

Stopping at the Pilgrimage centre, to hear about St. Kessog. It is said, that Robert the Bruce, said the name of St. Kessog, as an inspiration to his army before the battle of Bannockburn in 1314.

Heritage Memories

Join us as we explore a village rich in both historical stories and visually beautiful architectural buildings, enraptured by the majestic mountains and Lochside.

We are delighted to announce Argyll Walks Tours start January to December. We provide entertaining walking tours around Argyll and Bute. Our tours bring alive the tales of historical and cultural interest of the village of Luss, its people and the clans Colquhoun, MacFarlane and McGregor. Choose Monday through Friday. Tours depart every from 10 am, 11.30am There is no substitute for getting out there on foot... and that is where ArgyllWalks comes in. Whether you are a first-time visitor to Luss or Loch Lomond, we invite you to come to walk with us.

Opening times

Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm. Sunday closed.
