The Ultimate Puffin Experience is a brand new island adventure for 2026!
Puffins are one of the world’s favourite seabirds, and it is certainly on of the most requested species we get asked about on our walks. The island of Westray is the best place in Orkney to see these colourful and charismatic birds and this day trip will take you along a cliff top path where you can have the most wonderful puffin experience!
Here are some need to knows about your day:
- The Ultimate Puffin Experience runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6th May to 3rd August inclusive
- The ferry is approx. 90 minutes from Kirkwall and your return ferry fare is included in the price.
- Our walk will be up to a maximum of 6 miles on quiet island roads and clifftop paths
- The main aim of the day is to see puffins but we will also look at any other birds, wildflowers, insects and mammals that we see
- Timings – meet in Kirkwall at 10.15am and our ferry returns to Kirkwall at 7.20pm.
