Culloden Moor

Outlander 1 day tour

Spend a day following in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire

Let us take you on special day, visiting the wonderful landscapes and historical sites that inspired the Outlander books and TV series.

We will collect you in Inverness (or Aberdeen) and will begin our tour driving down the south side of Loch Ness, visiting some interesting sites there, connected with the Jacobite rising of 1745, before heading to Urquhart Castle on the north side of the loch, where Jamie and Claire picnicked. From here we head to Glen Affric with more interesting sites on the way, then stop at Beauly, home of Simon the Fox, Lord Lovat. We visit fascinating Clava Cairns - burial cairns, surrounded by standing stone circles, then head to Culloden Moor, to enjoy the fascinating visitor centre there, before ending our day on wild and windswept Culloden Moor, site of the last pitched battle on British soil.

We will return you to Inverness (or Aberdeen) at the end of the tour
