We start with majestic Dunnottar Castle, on it's crag just outside Stonehaven, then head inland to explore a mysterious recumbant stone circle. These stone circles are only found in this area of Scotland and South West Ireland. The Picts were renowned for their art work - fine jewellery and carved stones. We visit some of these beautifully carved monaliths and discover some amazing facts about the Pictish life in this area. We will also visit some small lesser known sites, with fascinating tales.
There will also be activities and crafts to try on this tour.
