Edinburgh Castle

The capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh is known worldwide for the terrific annual summer festivals and unbeatable Hogmanay celebrations. Explore on foot to see the architecture of the city centre, visit the best attractions and dine out at a different eatery every day for the perfect Edinburgh city break.

Glasgow
Glasgow
A cool city filled with music, you'll find around 130 events taking place every week in Glasgow's theatres, bespoke concert venues, bars, boutiques and more. Take the Subway or bus around the city for plenty of free museums, galleries and city parks.

Perth and the River Tay
Perth
An hour north of the central cities, Perth is known as the Fair City thanks to its stunning setting on the banks of the River Tay, with looming hills all around. Stay in an excellent hotel and explore the shops, galleries and cafés before taking advantage of the location, as it's on the doorstep of Highland Perthshire, home to Royal palaces, adventure sports and beautiful landscapes.

Stirling Castle

Stirling
Tucked in-between Edinburgh and Glasgow, Stirling has seen its fair share of battles. Discover the history of the country at Stirling Castle, the National Wallace Monument and the Battle of Bannockburn visitor centre. It's also a great base for exploring Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

Inverness
It might be our most northerly city, but Inverness is still just 3-4 hours from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Plus, it's the Highland capital so not only can you enjoy city culture but you can also easily visit Loch Ness, drive the North Coast 500, or watch for dolphins rising from the waters of the Moray Firth.

Dundee
Just an hour and a half's drive north-east of Edinburgh and Glasgow, Dundee makes the most of its waterfront location beside the River Tay. Home to the fascinating V&A Dundee, the city is a cultural hotspot with a fun, friendly vibe. It's also a great spot for families with plenty to keep little minds busy.

Aberdeen
A couple of hours north and east of central Scotland, Aberdeen is a city by the sea with a rich maritime history. Take a wander around the city to admire the sparkling granite buildings, and enjoy the culture of its attractions, shops and eateries, and even the beach.

Dunfermline
Scotland's newest city, Dunfermline is located in Fife, just north of Edinburgh. Here you can find a range of ancient buildings and attractions that will take you back in time. From Dunfermline Abbey and Palace, and the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum, to Pittencrieff Park, the Fife Coastal Path, and Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries; it's an ideal city for families and solo travellers alike.
