1 Day Isle of Skye, Fairy Pools & Dunvegan Castle
Make the most of a single day from Inverness with a small-group journey into the Highlands and over to the Isle of Skye. Stroll to the Fairy Pools, explore Scotland’s oldest lived-in castle, and wander the colourful streets of Skye’s capital.
ITINERARY
Departing Inverness in the morning, you’ll begin with a walk at Rogie Falls and panoramic views over Loch Carron before crossing to the Isle of Skye. After a coffee stop, enjoy one of the highlights - the Fairy Pools, a scenic trail of waterfalls and crystal-clear pools beneath the Cuillin Mountains.
Next, continue to Dunvegan, where you can tour the castle and gardens or relax with lunch in the village. The journey then winds through Skye with stops in Portree and Sligachan, giving time to take in the island’s beauty.
On the return to Inverness, you’ll pause for photos at iconic spots such as Eilean Donan Castle and Loch Ness, arriving back in the city by evening.
