14 Cross is a two bedroom crofthouse in the northernmost part of the Isle of Lewis. The house retains its traditional charm while providing a high degree of comfort and luxury for your stay on the island.
There are two bedrooms in the house and it can accommodate up to four people (a travel cot is also available for infants under 3). There are luxurious super king size beds in both bedrooms with quality cotton linens.
The house also has two bathrooms. The first is an en-suite (downstairs bedroom), which has underfloor heating, bathtub and shower. The second bathroom (also on the ground floor) has a walk-in shower with incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The kitchen is a wonderful space in the house with beautiful views of the northern Lewis landscape and the sea. The dining table seats four and we have a plentiful supply of pots, pans and kitchen equipment for you to cook.
We have two different relaxation rooms in the house depending on your mood. The upstairs lounge room has been designed as a quiet space to relax, read a book or listen to music. The panoramic roof window gives you an amazing view of the sea as well as bringing lots of light into this room. There is also a writing desk and office chair, which is perfect for writing postcards and handy for those who may need to work during their stay. The downstairs living room has two large comfortable sofas with TV, DVD Player and Apple TV to satisfy all your entertainment needs. You can also create a lovely cosy atmosphere in the evenings with the open fire.
There are wonderful ocean views from many of the rooms in the house. The upstairs lounge room is a great place to do some star gazing through the roof window. Also, for those warm (and not so warm) evenings we have a bench in the back garden, which is an ideal spot to sit with a glass of whisky and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. If you visit in the winter months this is also a perfect spot to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
