A warm welcome awaits you at Levenwick's community run campsite and hall in the beautiful south mainland of Shetland. Campsite open 1st May - 30th September For bookings outside these dates please enquire via our website.
The Levenwick Campsite is located in the south mainland just off the A970, 17 miles south of Lerwick and 10 miles north of Sumburgh Head. Please note when driving south ignore the 1st Levenwick sign and drive a further 1/2 mile on the main road where you will see the hall and campsite on your left.
Our campsite is open from May-September (out-of-season bookings e.g Easter/half-term by prior arrangement).

The hall is available for hire throughout the year and hosts community events to which our visitors are welcome.
6 touring pitches, 12 tent pitches.
Tent - £11.00 (small) to £16.00 (family) per night.
Caravan/ motor-home - £16.00 per night. Electric hook-up points cost an additional £3.00 per night.
Showers, toilets (disabled access to toilet block on request). Outside sink.
Laundry and kitchen facilities in our comfortable campsite room where you will find information for visitors, leaflets, maps, local events, wildlife sightings etc.
Our secluded community garden just below the campsite is a peaceful place to sit, picnic, take in the panoramic views and listen and watch for birds such as curlew (whaap), oyster catcher (shalder) great skua (bonxie) - and many more. You may be very lucky and see orcas, dolphins or porpoises and you will certainly see seals! Shetland sheep and ponies often graze on croftland near the campsite.
Perfect spot for night-sky watching.
Want to eat out? The Sumburgh Hotel is a short drive to the south, and heading north to Cunningsburgh (10 minutes drive) you'll find the recently opened Mackenzies Farm Shop & Cafe (nortowerlodges.co.uk). The campsite is an ideal location for exploring Shetland's south mainland and visiting St Ninians Isle, The Crofthouse Museum Sumburgh Head Lighthouse, Visitor Centre and Nature Reserve and much, much more.
Nearest garage for fuel is at Dunrossness (3.6 miles) south along the main road, where there is also a shop.
