Rossmor is renowned for friendly hospitality and a comfortable 'home from home' ambience. There is a choice of six bedrooms, all beautifully furnished and with modern en-suites and luxury Scottish toiletries.
Twin, king and double beds are available, some as four posters. All rooms have controlled heating, flat screen TV and coffee machines and are furnished with a good blend of antique and modern furniture. Four of the rooms have splendid views of the Cromdale hills while the other two have views of the back garden.
A large lounge is available solely for guests to enjoy a chat, have drink or sit by the log fire when it gets a bit chilly.
The large breakfast room has bay windows to enable guests to start the day watching light dancing on the hills and spotting wildlife on the front lawn. Guests enjoy the views while tucking into a tasty breakfast made to order from high quality local produce including home made bread, jams, granola and award winning haggis and black pudding. Our traditional Scottish porridge rates very highly. Reviews regularly point out the quality of the fare on offer.
The villa has retained many of the original features such as striking stained glass windows in the stairwell, stunning pitch pine woodwork throughout and spectacular etched glass in the front doors. The emphasis throughout is on comfort and relaxation. Of course Wifi is free and available throughout.
The main street of Grantown-on-Spey is only 10 minutes walk away, as is the walk through the woods to the majestic River Spey, where there are more than 5 miles of paths through woodlands and along the river.
Grantown-on-Spey is a traditional historic and friendly Highland Town with a good choice of dining options and independent retailers. Within a 40 minute drive there are a host of distilleries, castles, Loch Ness (and Nessie!), eagles in the Findhorn Valley, fishing villages along the Moray coast and the majestic Cairngorms to climb. If you have interests in whisky, history, hiking, fishing, golfing, bird watching and of course admiring stunning views, Rossmor is the perfect base for exploring Speyside and beyond. The owners are always happy to sit with guests to design a bespoke touring guide to fit their interests. They have lots of contacts with tour guides if a specific tour is required.
Rossmor has had a history of excellent service to guests and the new owners have continued this as a host of guests reviews on booking sites and TripAdvisor will testify. We hope to see you soon.
