Mangersta shieling is a restored stone building, similar to a walker’s bothy, located 1.5 miles Southeast of Mangersta, the nearest village. The shieling is now finished and available to book as basic self-catering accommodation.
The interior of the shieling is equipped with two long bench seats, a table that can be converted into a sleeping platform, a small stove and storage space for rucksacks etc under the benches and along the wall tops. There is a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and 2 battery powered camping lights fixed to the interior timber structure of the roof. A short distance from the shieling are a stand-alone toilet and log store.
