Elgin library has a range of local information. A limited range of leaflets on local attractions in Moray, Speyside and The Highlands is available. Lists of attractions and distilleries are available on request if leaflets are unavailable. A list of local accommodation is available on request and customers wishing to check availability can do so online. We do not provide an accommodation booking service. The information point is open during library opening hours, Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm throughout the year. There is a limited selection of gifts for sale. Free internet access is available for visitors providing the appropriate ID and there is free WiFi access. Please take time to visit MNMS café based in the library which sells a range of sandwiches, cakes, teas, coffees and soft drinks.
Elgin Library is also the location for the Local Heritage Service for Moray offering a fascinating insight to Moray's history and to ancestry searches. This service is part of Visit Scotland’s Ancestral Welcome Scheme.
