Situated on Rodney Street, close to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, it’s a perfect stop to grab a warming hot chocolate drink if you’re planning to visit the gardens, or attending the Christmas Lights at the Botanics this season.

    The marshmallow topping is a signature offering of the shop. All hand-made to perfection, you can customise your drink for that ultimate chocolatey experience. From pink toasted strawberry mallows to rum and nutmeg, the options are almost endless!

This hole-in-the-wall ice-cream bar, tucked away on St Mary’s Street in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, is certainly an interesting offering. Known for its indulgent (and perfectly Instagrammable) Italian style gelato, their hot chocolate drinks are equally as delicious. From toasted marshmallow and matcha marshmallow fluffy foam with fudgey brownie pieces, to a scoop of gelato in your drink – think flavours such as sugar doughnut or brown toast and jam – the range of toppings is amazing. And you get to choose whether you want your drink made of 50% or 70% dark chocolate, milk chocolate, malted milk, or even caramelised white chocolate!

Their secret? They use real 70% chocolate - no powders here! They pair their hot chocolate with natural, homemade marshmallows in a variety of flavours, including vanilla bean, salted caramel, and chocolate orange. The shop also offers vegan options with dairy-free milk and a creamy vegan topping.

    If you'd like something different, they also offer delicious crumble pots with custard or, of course, their famous gelato!
