    Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park to the east of Perth includes the five hills, Corsiehill, Deuchny Hill, Barn Hill, Binn Hill and Kinnoull Hill.

    Rising sharply from the banks of the River Tay in Perth, Kinnoull Hill is the highest of the five hills and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

    Step inside Balhousie Castle and explore the museum to discover the intriguing history of the Blackwatch Regiment, which dates back to 1725. Through a range of objects and memorabilia including uniforms, photographs, diaries, artworks, medals, weapons and military kits, as well as films and personal accounts, uncover the story of the regiment and relive their most dramatic moments. Afterwards you could wander to Perth Art Gallery or take in the streets of the city centre. Alternatively, take in the splendour of nearby Scone Palace, the world famous crowning place of Scottish kings.

  • Comrie Comrie

    Located to the west of Perth and only 30 minutes north of Gleneagles, Comrie is a quaint little village that is home to stunning scenery and landscapes to enjoy. There's Comrie Croft which offers plenty of walking, cycling, mountain biking and adventures. Explore waymarked walking routes or hire bikes and explore the winding trails before stopping by the Tea Garden for refreshment. Nearby Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre houses a variety of exotic and more familiar wildlife.

    Perched on the banks of the River Tay, Dunkeld is a picturesque village that features brightly coloured 'little houses' which date back to the early 1700s and a majestic - partly ruined - cathedral. It's also the perfect starting point for venturing out into the Perthshire wilderness and exploring nearby attractions including The Hermitage, a forested grove overlooking the Black Linn waterfall, and Loch of the Lowes. This 98-hectare reserve is home to a pair of breeding ospreys, as well as red squirrels, woodpeckers and a variety of other wildlife.
