Scotland has some amazing and tantalising produce and there are plenty of festivals and events where local food takes centre stage. From weekend affairs to week-long celebrations, vegan festivals to farmers' markets, there is always something for your tastebuds to look forward to.

  1. Scottish Vegan Festival Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh

    When? 1 - 6 May 2024, Speyside

    One of Scotland’s most anticipated whisky festivals, Spirit of Speyside is one you don’t want to miss! This festival sees people from across the world descend on Scotland’s incredible whisky region and explore venues from distilleries to village halls, local whisky bars to historic castles, in over 500 extraordinary events.

  3. Eat & Drink Festival SEC, Glasgow

    When? 24 – 27 May 2024, SEC Glasgow

    Scotland’s favourite food festival, Eat and Drink Glasgow, is back at the SEC for a long weekend of mouth-watering flavours, modern cuisine, mixology, street food, local produce. The Eat & Drink Stage and Artisan Producers Market will make a return too.

     

  4. FyneFest Glen Fyne

    You don’t get fyn-er food than this! This award-winning, family-friendly beer, food, and music festival takes place in the lush setting of Glen Fyne and showcases a range of 200 beers, 30 live bands and an incredible array of the finest street food vendors.

  5. Foodies Festival Edinburgh

    When? 2 - 4 August 2024, Edinburgh

    Join in this colourful celebration of quality local food, drink and produce. The Foodies Festival started up in 2006 and has since launched 12 festivals across the country, making it the largest food and drink festival in the UK. This August will see a selection of talented chefs, a line-up of toe-tapping live music, pop-up bars, street food, a kids cookery tent, a healthy living tent and so much more.

  6. Stranraer Oyster Festival Stranraer

    When? 13 – 15 September 2024, Stranraer

    Returning in 2024 is the Stranraer Oyster Festival. Get ready for your seafood fix and celebrate Stranraer’s wild native oysters with a jam-packed events programme. Enjoy celebrity chef demos, live music, amazing food and drink, fun watersports and much more. The festival’s star attraction is of course the huge oyster bar with the native oysters all freshly caught from Loch Ryan.
